Anthony Wayne "Tony" Drake

Feb 5, 1967 — Jul 13, 2026

West Columbia, SC. – Anthony Wayne “Tony” Drake, 59, of West Columbia, SC, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2026.

Born on February 5, 1967, Anthony was the son of Jack Drake and Carolyn Miller. He was raised by his stepfather, Calvin Miller, whose guidance and love helped shape the hardworking and determined man he became.

Anthony dedicated many years of his career as a Utility Locator with MCEC, where he took great pride in his work. His family is forever grateful for the compassion, encouragement, and unwavering support shown by his MCEC family throughout his illness.

Affectionately known by family and lifelong friends as “Ducky,” Tony was known for his determination, resilience, and independent spirit. He was a hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family and built lasting friendships throughout his life. Outside of work, he enjoyed the simple comforts of home, spending time with his beloved cats, and making memories with those he loved most. Above all else, Tony was a devoted father and a proud Pop-Pop who loved his family deeply.

Anthony was preceded in death by his biological father, Jack Drake; his mother, Carolyn Miller; his stepfather, Calvin Miller; and his beloved sister, Angie Jeffcoat.

Anthony is survived by his wife, Catherine Drake; his daughter, Taylor Eilers (Ken); his grandchildren, Charlotte, Nolan, and Cohen; his stepsons, Lucas (Amy) and Matthew; his step-grandchildren, Iris and Logan; along with many extended family members, dear friends, and coworkers who will miss him greatly.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Tony is finally at peace and reunited with those who went before him.

To us, he wasn’t just Anthony, and he wasn’t just Tony. He was Dad, Pop-Pop, and the heart of our family. We will carry his love with us always. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
