Robert William Fleming

GILBERT—Robert William Fleming, 72, of Gilbert passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was a son of the late William and Virginia Fleming. Although a retired systems analyst, he loved adventure. He met his wife at a local skydiving club in MI; topped trees in the forestry service; coached his children's sports teams; drove the Alaska hwy; swam with dolphins in the Caribbean; kissed the Blarney stone in Ireland, water skied into his late 60s; and drove his son's homemade electric motorcycle at 71. But what he loved most was being alongside his wife, Diane Straight Fleming, for 49 years. Surviving in addition to his beloved wife; children, Laura Essa of Clifton Park, NY, Melissa Baker of Gilbert, SC and Sandra Fleming of Brooklyn, NY; Robert Fleming of San Jose, CA; eight grandchildren; and brother, James Fleming of MI.
