Eddie Washington, 84, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and the grace of his faith.

Born to Willie Frances Perkins and George Washington, Eddie lived a life defined by faith, service, integrity, and devotion to those he loved. He graduated from Hadley Technical High School and went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps, completing three tours of duty during the Vietnam War. His military service reflected the courage, discipline, and patriotism that remained a guiding force throughout his life.

A man of deep faith, Eddie loved God, his family, and his country above all else. He was known for his generous heart, dependable nature, and willingness to help others. Whether he was enjoying a round of golf, spending time at the bowling alley, or tackling a repair project, Eddie approached life with determination and pride. He was also known for his impeccable sense of style, rarely seen without a sharp suit, a distinguished tie, and polished shoes that reflected both his confidence and character.

Family was the center of Eddie's world. He shared a loving marriage with his beloved wife, Druemiller Washington, and took immense pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He leaves behind his cherished wife; his children, Keith Washington, Edward Washington, and Diane Washington; his brothers, Dennis Washington, Henry Washington, and Elbert Washington; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.

Those who knew Eddie will remember his unwavering faith, steadfast strength, honorable service, and the love he freely gave to family and friends. His legacy of resilience, integrity, and devotion will continue to inspire future generations.  Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort knowing that his life was well-lived, his service was honorable, and his faith was strong.
