Joyce Ruth Kimber

Joyce Ruth Kimber, 86, of East Chicago, IN, gained her wings and returned home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2026, in Tempe, Az, where she spent her retirement living with her sons Mark and Jesse. Joyce was born on April 2, 1940, to Jesse Williams and Ruth Newman. She grew up in Ocala, FL alongside her older brother, Jesse. She later moved to Philadelphia as a young wife and soon-to-be mother of three sons: Jesse, Mark, and Cole Kimber. During her time there, she owned a donut shop and enjoyed spending time with family. Joyce later moved with her sons to Billings, MT, where she began her career as a registered nurse after graduating from nursing school in Havre, MT. She dedicated her life to helping others and spent many years working at the Montana State Mental Hospital and the Montana State Women's Prison before eventually retiring from BioLife Plasma Center in Cheyenne, WY, where she truly felt at home. Joyce was a strong woman who believed in family and helping others. She never missed an opportunity to praise God for all He has done for her and her family. She enjoyed beautiful summer days, taking road trips, and "people watching." Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jesse; and her infant daughter, who passed away at only a few weeks old. She leaves behind her sons, Jesse Kimber, Mark Kimber, and Cole Kimber; Cole's wife, Tina; her five grandchildren, Vanessa Kimber, Isaac Kimber, Andrea Kimber, Jamaal Kimber, and Jeremy Kimber; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was loved dearly and will be deeply missed.
