Kraft-Sussman Funeral & Cremation Services

Kraft-Sussman Funeral & Cremation Services is a funeral home in Las Vegas, Nevada, located in the Spring Valley area. The firm serves Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, and surrounding communities. Core services include burial services, cremation services, funeral and memorial services, and pre-need planning. Aquamation and human composting are available through a licensed partner provider.

Kraft-Sussman was founded in 2009 by Wendy Kraft and Laura Sussman, who established the firm as an independent, LGBTQ+-friendly alternative to corporate funeral providers in Southern Nevada. The facility occupies space within a medical and professional office building plaza on South Durango Drive; the interior was designed to resemble a professional office environment — earthy and comfortable rather than formally somber — as a deliberate departure from the traditional mortuary aesthetic. In 2019, Kraft-Sussman became the first funeral home in Nevada and the 14th in the United States to offer aquamation (alkaline hydrolysis), a lower-emission alternative to traditional flame cremation.

The facility includes a chapel with movable seating rather than fixed pews, supporting flexible service configurations including arrangements in the round. Additional spaces include a reception area, private viewing rooms, and dedicated areas for identification viewings. Staff are knowledgeable in a range of cultural and religious traditions; a shomer can be arranged for Jewish families upon request.

Kraft-Sussman does not operate an on-site crematory or cemetery, and does not offer pet cremation services.

Cremation is performed at Vegas Valley Cremation, a company-owned cremation care facility in North Las Vegas dedicated specifically to cremation services. The care center is owned by the same organization as Kraft-Sussman Funeral & Cremation Services and staffed by company employees.  In the event that cremation equipment is unavailable, cremation will occur at another location.
