Beers and Story - Belchertown is a funeral home within the Belchertown Center Historic District in Belchertown, Massachusetts. It is part of Beers and Story, a family of funeral home locations serving Western Massachusetts. The location serves the Pioneer Valley and provides burial services, cremation services, funeral and memorial services, and pre-need planning.
Opened in 1951 by Herbert Story and his wife, the Belchertown location expanded the Beers and Story brand — established as a partnership in Palmer the prior year — to a second location. The funeral home operates from a structure at 10 Maple Street built in 1936.
The facility includes a chapel and accommodates identification viewings and private viewings. Beers and Story - Belchertown does not operate an on-site cemetery or on-site crematory. Pet cremation, licensed grief therapy, and legal or estate planning services are not available at this location.
Families consistently name individual staff members in reviews and frequently cite a non-judgmental approach that is particularly valued by families navigating cultural or personal circumstances.
