Lane Memorial Gardens

Lane Memorial Gardens is a cemetery in Eugene, Oregon. Lane Memorial Gardens is co-located with Lane Memorial Funeral Home, a full-service funeral home operating on the same grounds. The cemetery serves Eugene and the surrounding Willamette Valley region. Services include burial services, cremation services, funeral and memorial services, pre-need cemetery property, veterans services including military honors, and ash scattering assistance. Human composting and aquamation are available through partner providers.

Lane Memorial Gardens was established in 1953 on a 40-acre site in West Eugene, selected for its manicured lawns, natural areas, and views of the Willamette Valley. In 1983, a mausoleum and columbarium were constructed on the property to accommodate above-ground placement of caskets and urns. The grounds are characterized by an extensive collection of large, classical-style decorative stone statues situated throughout the burial sections.

In 2005, the cemetery was acquired by the local Musgrove family, operating as Musgrove Family Mortuaries & Cemeteries. In 2017, owners Jeff and Mark Musgrove unveiled the Peace Garden Columbarium, a permanent outdoor installation featuring a restored 1960s Volkswagen bus retrofitted with interior wooden shelving units for cremation urn storage beneath a protective canopy.

The 40-acre property includes a mausoleum, cremation gardens and niches, family and private cemetery lots, and build-to-suit cemetery property options. The grounds also feature a columbarium for above-ground urn placement.

Lane Memorial Gardens does not operate an on-site crematory. Pet cremation and pet burial are not offered at this location.

Cremation is performed at Musgrove Family Care Center, a company-owned cremation care facility in Eugene dedicated specifically to cremation services. The care center is owned by the same organization as Lane Memorial Gardens and staffed by company employees.  In the event that cremation equipment is unavailable, cremation will occur at another location.
