Adelaida "Ada" Leal Martinez
August 18th, 1937 - January 2nd, 2019
Adelaida L. “Ada” Martinez, age 81, of Mountain Home, passed away at St. Lukes Hospital in Boise, on January 2, 2019. A viewing will be held at 3 P.M. followed by a Rosary at 6 P.M. on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Rost funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 10A.M. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church followed by burial at Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Rost Funeral Home. Ada, the youngest of 4, was born to Simon and Herlinda Leal on August 18, 1937 in Arlington, Texas. At the age of 14, Ada meet the love of her life Hector Martinez. 5 years after meeting, they got married on October 29, 1956. They had their first baby on October 31, 1954. Being blessed with a total of 16 children, 37 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren. The happy couple moved to Mountain Home in 1961. Hector and Ada are well known in the community and have a family that think the world of them. Ada was the most caring, loving, selfless person you could ever meet. She touched the souls and hearts of everyone that crossed her path. A lot of people in the community thought of Ada as their grandmother. She was an angel sent from above that brightened anyone’s day. Ada is survived by her husband of 62 years Hector, 4 daughters, 4 sons, 37 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren along with numerous other family members. Ada is preceded in death by both her parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother, 8 children and 2 grandchildren.

Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
