Alice Florence Baca

Alice Florence Baca, 89, of Longmont, CO passed away September 29, 2023. She was born November 7, 1933, in Avondale, CO to Benjamin and Ida (Autobee) Martinez. The family moved to Pueblo, Ault, and finally settled in the Greeley area. She married Fernando “Fred” Baca on October 19, 1953, in Greeley. Alice was a military spouse, loving mother to six children, and worked for various companies where she was a very loyal and dedicated employee. She owned and operated the Rustic Hills Lounge in Colorado Springs for several years. Family was especially important to Alice. She also enjoyed billiards, darts, bowling, cooking, friends, and her Mexican music. Survivors include her children; Joyce (Glenn) Smith, Arleen (Greg) Pitts, Sandy Rendos, and Douglas Baca. Eleven grandchildren; Jason Lile, Amy (Clint) Jennings, Laura (Nick) Benson, Juno Benson, Steven (Bri) Benson, Trevor (Elise) Smith, Katie Baca, Jake Baca, Taylor Pitts, Austin Pitts. Twenty-one great-grandchildren, eight great, great-grandchildren as well as her siblings; Vicky Rodarte, Vivian (Frutoso) Chavez, Roque Martinez, and Daniel Martinez and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Karen Jackson, and Elizabeth Baca, grandson Eric McCloskey and eight brothers and sisters. A visitation will be held from 4-6 pm Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Adamson Life Celebration Home with a Rosary to begin at 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am. Friday, October 6, 2023, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at Adamson. Condolences may be shared at AdamsonCares.com.
