CHAMPION - Ann M., passed away at her residence in St. Petersburg Sunday, October 9, 2005 while under the care of hospice. Born in Pennsylvania, she came to Florida in 1963 from Cherry Hill, New Jersey where she and her late husband owned the Point View Inn tavern. Locally she was a loan officer at First Gulf Beach Bank in St. Pete Beach. She was Protestant and a member of the American Legion Post #305 Ladies Auxiliary, St. Pete Beach, and the VFW Post #4256, Madeira Beach. Survivors include her son, Thomas (Sandra), of Hudson; her daughter, Delia Champion of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren and her companion, Michael Schloff of South Pasadena, Florida. There are no services scheduled at this time. Interment will take place at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, Central Avenue Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family. The family suggests memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, be made to the charity of your choice. Service Information
