Barbara Maxey Dillon, 89, of Kernersville, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Graveside Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 2:00PM Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory, Kernersville, NC. A native of Forsyth County, NC, Barbara was the wife of the late Grover Ernest Dillon and the daughter of the late Wesley Earl Maxey and Bessie Kiger Maxey. Survivors include her daughter, Karen Matherly and husband, Mike of Madison, NC; son, Todd Dillon of Walkertown, NC; daughter-in-law and caregiver, Darlene Dillon; eleven grandchildren, Shane Dillon, Brandy Graham and husband, Tommy, Cayla Dillon, Steven Dillon and wife, Ashley, Nicole Pilkenton and husband, Chris, Danyelle Collins and husband, Jim, Jamey Woodard, Bobby Leggett, Ashlie Dillon, and Brad Dillon; nineteen great grandchildren; and brother, Don Maxey of Kernersville, NC. In addition to her husband and parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sons, David Dillon, and Danny Dillon; daughters, Rita Woodard, and Kathy Greene; and grandson, Brandon Leggett.
