Barry Lynn Phillips

Barry Phillips, age 48, of Hawkins County, went to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 peacefully at home. Barry was a proud veteran of the United States Army having served his country during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Church Hill. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and the ability to make others smile. He was a loving husband and caring father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Song "Sugie" Phillips; children, Jeremy Mooney, Jenefer Phillips and Angelica Phillips; grandson, Josyah Phillips; parents, John and Dreva Ladd; 2 brothers, Anthony Phillips and John Ladd Jr.; several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Ridgeview Baptist Church in Church Hill. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm with Pastor Jon Rogers officiating. Graveside services will follow at Church Hill Memory Gardens.
