Daisy Beatrice Taylor

Kingsport - Daisy Beatrice Bright Taylor, 84 of Kingsport, went to be with her Savior on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at her home. Born in Hiltons, VA, Daisy had been a resident of Kingsport for most of her life. She founded Taylor's Insurance Agency where she worked until she retired. She was a member of Lewis Lane Central Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and devoted Christian. She was preceded in death by her son, Dwight Taylor; parents, Ernest and Zina Olinger Bright; sister, Cleva Hensley; brothers, Carles Bright, Garn Bright and J.W. Bright. Daisy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Stanley Taylor; daughter, Gwen Taylor; brother, Lee Bright and wife Ruby; special niece, Karen Sherman; special nephew, Lanny Bright; sister-in-law, Ruth Bright; several other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Wayne Baker and Pastor Kenny Hammond officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Booher Cemetery, Booher's Chapel Road, Bristol, VA. (Just off Boozy Creek Rd). Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:55 p.m. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Taylor family.
