David Michael Lacivita, 60, of Kernersville, NC died suddenly on August 27, 2016 while vacationing with his wife in West Palm Beach, Florida. David was born on August 31, 1955 in Springfield, MA to the late June (Molinari) and Angelo Mario Lacivita. David was a loving husband, devoted father and good friend. He had been employed by Gilbarco Veeder-Root as Materials Planning Supervisor in Greensboro for over 38 years. He immensely enjoyed his family, from standing watch over the grill to fishing anywhere. He often claimed to catch the biggest fish. David enjoyed working on projects inside and outside of the home. Survivors include his loving wife Judy Bailey Lacivita of the home; daughters Hilary Lacivita Atkins and Brett Atkins of West Palm Beach, FL, and Holly Lacivita of the home; son Joshua Lacivita of Charlotte; grandson Brayden Lacivita of the home; sisters Lynn Duffy and Tom, and Gayle Gambaccini and Richard all of Greensboro; brothers Larry Lacivita and Jennie of Tega Cay, SC, Dennis Lacivita and Pam of Scottsdale, AZ, and Stephen Lacivita and Tracy of Greensboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 11:00AM Saturday September 3, 2016 at the First Christian Church Ministries, at 1130 North Main St, Kernersville, with Pastor Riley Puckett officiating. Interment will follow at the Westminster Gardens Cemetery in Greensboro. The family will receive friends from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Friday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home at 213 West Mountain St., Kernersville, NC.
