"Brimfield- Dora E. Hilbig Bacon, 90, of Colonial Park, passed away at her daughter's home with her family by her side on June 7, 2008. Born December 24, 1917 in Beesenlaublingen, Germany, she has lived in Brimfield for two years, having resided in St. Petersburg, FL for 20 years and Chicopee and the surrounding areas prior to that. Her first husband Erich Hilbig died in 1968 and her second husband Sidney Bacon predeceased Dora in 1986. She will be greatly missed by her children, Sonja and her husband Klaus Tittel of Brimfield, Christian and Kathy Hilbig of Eastham, MA. "Oma's" love will continue through her grandchildren, Ralph Tittel, Cornelia Jankowski, Mark, Michael, Heidi and Joseph Hilbig along with seven great grandchildren and brother Kurt Bruecher of Germany. Her grandson Reiner Tittel died in 1983. A memorial service in Dora's memory will be held June 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 345 Main St., Sturbridge, MA 01566. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at the church. Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Donations may be made in her memory to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Quaboag Valley Hospice, 42B Wright St., Palmer, MA 01069. "
