Doris Adams Knox, 88, went home to the Lord on Friday December 16, 2016. Graveside Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday December 20, 2016 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown, with Rev. Bobby Roberson officiating. Doris was born in Yadkin County, NC on April 21, 1928 to the late Lucy Caudle Adams and Daniel Adams. She was a long time member of Gospel Light Baptist Church of Walkertown, NC. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband Edward Earl Knox; son Gary Wayne Knox; sisters and a brother. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters Phyllis Sawyers and Kimberly Cole; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister Pattie Long of Yadkinville and many nieces and nephew. Following the service on Tuesday, the family will receive friends at the home of Sherri Sawyers, 7300 Danay Lane, Kernersville, NC.
