Funeral services for Dorothy Wynette Glisson, 87, a resident of Bradenton, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2016 at Bethany Baptist Church, 26604 State Road 64 East, Myakka City, Florida. Dorothy passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the Dorcas House, in Bradenton. Dorothy Wynette Glisson was born July 22, 1930 in Sandersville, Georgia, to the late Clifford and Ethel Tanner. Dorothy retired from the School District of Manatee County. Dorothy was a member of Bethany Baptist Church for 40 years. She is survived by her children Shirley (Keith) Stewart, Bradenton, FL, Barbara Loggins, Bradenton, FL, Tina (Derek) Lundy, Bradenton, FL; loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Eunice O'Connor, Palmetto, FL; and 1 brother Hughie (Mary) Tanner, of Bothell, WA. She was preceded in death by a son, Floyd Crawford in 2001, and a daughter, Donna Williams in 2013. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Dorcas House Family for their love and support. Flowers are welcome.
