Dwight Neal Larsen, 60, passed from this world and into the presence of his Saviour Jesus Christ, late Friday evening, April 24, at his ranch home south of Jordan Valley, OR. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Loetta (Feltwell) Larsen, six adult children and two grandchildren. Dwight was born January 3, 1949 in Buellton, CA where he attended school and was graduated. He and Loetta met their freshman year of high school and were inseparable for the next 46 years. Married in 1969, the couple made their home in Buellton, CA where Dwight owned and operated a successful construction business. They were blessed with their first daughter, Amy Leanne, and first son, Thomas Beck, before the family moved to a ranch in Jordan Valley, OR to raise registered black Angus cattle. Soon after establishing their home here, God blessed them with the arrivals of son Jason Neal, daughter Ashley Lindsey, son Matthew James, and daughter Angela Louise. Dwight found time to serve on the boards of Jordan Valley Health Clinic and Jordan Valley School District, but was a constant presence and help in his church family."Helping out" his ever-widening circle of friends and neighbors was an integral part of Dwight's expansive personality. His knowledge of, and experience with, heavy equipment helped make it possible to get a job with Kinross Mining. He was employed there at the time of his death. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Lions Den in Jordan Valley. Interment will follow at the Jordan Valley Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the High Desert Bible Church in Dwight's name.
