Elmer "Lee" Leedell Treinen
October 21st, 1930 - March 18th, 2018
Elmer "Lee” "Coach” Treinen, 87, of Greeley, CO formerly of Remsen, IA passed away March 18, 2018 at Ashley Manor in Evans, CO. He was born October 21, 1930 in Remsen to Elmer Theodore and Grace G. (Hammond) Treinen. He attended St. Mary’s School in Remsen where he trained kids in the fundamentals of sports. Lee was a custodian for the Post Office for 50 years. He love all sports and always wanted to be a priest and run for president. Lee is survived by his sister, Jenny Treinen of Greeley, CO; sister-in-law, Libby Treinen of Greeley; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and three brothers. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will be in Remsen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to "Lee Treinen Memorial Fund” in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
