Gary L. Hamilton, 66, of Greeley, CO went to see the Lord on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. He was born February 18, 1949 in Denver, CO to Martin and Dorothy (Baldwin) Hamilton. Gary grew up in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School. After high school he served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in March of 1968. On March 31, 1968 he married Kathleen Vlask. Gary farmed for many years. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, canning and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He served as an Elder at Journey Church, president of Greeley Saddle Club and president of NWTF Larimer County long beards. Gary is survived by his sons, Greg (Jill) Hamilton of Houston, TX, Scott Hamilton of Greeley; daughter, Brittany (Ryan) Johnson of Homer, AK; grandchildren, Kirk, Kayla, Brooke, Nathan, Jade, Bridger, Cedar, and one on the way. He is also survived by sisters, Leona Knaus Carol Gdowski, Becky Schneider; and brothers, Keith Hamilton, Larry Hamilton and David Hamilton. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy; and his parents. Viewing will be Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. at Adamson Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2015 at Journey Church, 4754 W. 31st Street, Greeley. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts may be made in Gary’s name to "American Heart Association” or "American Diabetes Association” in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
