Geraldine "Geri" Louise Vargas went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2019. She was born on September 3, 1943, in La Salle, Colorado to Manuel and Carlota (Torres) Gabaldon. She is preceded in death by her parents listed above; children Timothy James Martinez and Roger Anthony Martinez; siblings Manuel Gabaldon and Rose Lucero. She is survived by her children Deborah Martinez, Charlette Gabaldon, Felicia Vargas, and Candelario Raul Jr. (Jessica) Vargas; Ex-husband Candelario Zamudio Vargas; siblings Irene Fuentez and Helen Aragon; sister in law- Fran Gabaldon; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. Geri loved arts and crafts, playing bingo, teaching catechism at our lady of Guadalupe Church and loved her Broncos . She loved to cook. She's especially known for her albondigas and white chile. Her family described her as very funny, and set in her ways. Geri had her faith in God. She was 4'9 but lived like she was 7'4. Wearing Bronco attire or her favorite color ,red , on the day of her service is encouraged. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
