" Hazel J. (Morey) Tilton, 71, of Federal Street, died Sunday, September 26 at Wing Memorial Hospital. Born in Easthampton, Oct. 10, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Frances (Gilbertson) Morey. Hazel came to Belchertown at a young age and was a graduate of Belchertown High School. She was also a graduate of Mt. Ida College in Newton and worked as an executive secretary for many years at the University of Massachusetts in the Bureau of Government Research. She worked for a short time at Cold Spring School in Belchertown and also at the former Belchertown State School before retiring in 1992. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 47 years, Robert, along with their two sons, Frederick and his wife Donna, and Steven, along with her brother Howard and her two precious grandsons Christopher and Matthew, all of Belchertown. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers Robert in 1972 and Donald in 1983. At the family’s request, the funeral service and burial will be private at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Please make donations in her memory to Quaboag Valley Hospice, 42B Wright St, Palmer, 01069."
