In Loving Memory of Jason Romero, 1984-2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jason Romero, who departed from us on July 2, 2024, in Greeley, Colorado. Born on March 1, 1984, in Denver, Colorado, Jason was the eldest son of Paul and Karen Romero.
A beloved son, brother, and doting uncle, he exemplified loyalty and compassion in everything he did. Jason lived a childhood filled with joy and playfulness, surrounded by his large extended family of uncles, aunts and cousins, who were all his partners in mischief and companions in adventure. From lively family gatherings to spontaneous outings, Jason treasured every moment spent with his family, forging bonds that remained steadfast throughout his life.
Jason found great joy in exploring new places, especially to visit extended family. Embarking on road trips across the country, he cherished the connections he made, and the memories created with loved ones near and far. Jason had an even stronger bond with his nieces and nephews whom he loved deeply. He was not only an uncle but a playmate, and a source of endless joking and joy.
Jason’s popularity among friends and family was a testament to his caring nature and the positive impact he had on those around him. He made everyone feel valued and appreciated, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
Jason’s talent for automotive repair and improvements made him the go-to person for family and friends. His willingness to help was a true representation of his kind heart. He had a deep passion for fishing. It was during these tranquil moments by the water that he found peace and contentment, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the company of his brothers and friends. He was an avid camper and lover of outdoor adventure. A true Colorado native.
Jason's memory will forever be treasured by his family and friends. Though his time with us was cut short, his legacy of kindness and protection will continue to guide and inspire us all to love deeply.
Jason is survived and deeply missed by his parents, Paul and Karen Romero, and his brothers Raymond Romero (Josie), Victor (Nancy), his nephews and nieces Nikko, Brayden, Verrah and Ottilia Romero. He also leaves behind his grandmother, Diana Gonzales, and a close-knit family of uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends. He was predeceased by his siblings Joseph and Amber Romero. Grandparents Phillip and Josephine Romero, Grandfather Victoriano Gonzales Jr., and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. followed by the Recitation of the Rosary on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Adamson Life Celebration Home. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00a.m. Friday, July 12, 2024 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment Linn Grove Cemetery.
The Romero family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to everyone. Family and friends, near and far who have been so generous with support during this difficult time.
