My Life Story Linda Lee Brobst, 69 of Meridian, passed away January 11, 2017 after a battle with cancer. Linda was born in Boise, ID on January 13, 1947 to Terry Yearout and Mildred Frank. She graduated from Hermiston High School and continued her education at the Oregon Institute of Technology studying radiology. During her years there she met Robert Brobst and the two were married on June 17th, 1967. After graduation, Bob and Linda moved to Boise, ID so Linda could do her internship at St. Alphonsus Hospital, and the treasure valley area became their home. Linda worked as an X-ray tech until they decided to begin a family and she became a stay at home mom for her two daughter's early years. Together they raised their family and made the move to Meridian, where she lived until the end. Linda’s interests were many. She was a very talented seamstress, quilter, photographer and cat lover. She was a hoarder of fabric, paper crafting supplies and cameras. She loved finding beauty and humor in things like raindrops on flower petals, ice on windows and kitty cat faces, taking thousands pictures of them. She spent many years volunteering and eventually working in a cat shelter, but mainly she just loved to play with the kitties. She was a well loved Western Idaho Fair employee, working there for over 25 years and eventually becoming the superintendent of the photography department. While she loved many things in life, her biggest love was being a grandma to her three grandchildren who will miss her terribly. The youngest especially loved sleepovers at grandma’s house, because she let them stay up and play board games and watch movies with her as late as they wanted. She said it was her right as a grandma to spoil her grandchildren. Linda is survived by many who loved her. Her husband, Robert Brobst of Meridian; daughters: April (Bryan) Peterson of Meridian and Reagan (Jeremy) Olson of Boise and her grandchildren: Kyle Peterson (US Navy), Zoey Peterson and Derek Peterson. Her father, Terry Yearout of Kennewick, WA; and siblings: Norma Lou (Phil), Gale (Carol), Terry “Butch” (Nancy), Randall (Holly), Rick (Ruth), Kelly (Teresa) and Valerie (Justin) and a ton of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she considered family. She loved her best friend, Sue Jones (Jim) like a sister and the two of them traveled together and saw each other every week. She is also survived by her three kitties: Kelli, Riley and Obie that meant so much to her. Mom always had a camera in one hand and a cat by her side. The family would like to thank the great caregivers at the Genesis Meridian Care Center for making her as comfortable as possible during her last month and the staff and doctors at St. Luke’s MSTI for doing everything they could to help her fight this terrible disease. Linda will be interred at the Meridian Cemetery in the spring when the flowers she always loved are in bloom and the cold weather she hated is gone. At that time of Celebration of Life will be held to honor Linda. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local animal shelter in her name, drop off a bag of food at the Humane Society or adopt a furry friend of your own. *See Service Information Page*

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
