Logan Richard Chacon

Logan Richard Chacon was born on June 8th, 1999 in Greeley, Colorado to Ron and Tiffany (Fierro) Chacon and returned home, to rest in the arms of the Lord on March 24th, 2018. Logan attended Christa McAuliffe Elementary School, Severance Middle School, and most recently, Northridge High School. An avid baseball enthusiast and athlete, he competed as a member of the Northridge baseball team and served as an active member of DECA. Slated to graduate in May, Logan looked forward to attending Spartan College to study aviation mechanics this fall. Logan is remembered by his family and close friends as a thoughtful, affectionate, and witty young man with an undeniably dry, unanticipated, and understated sense of humor. He loved baseball and playing video games with his friends and family. Logan also had a passion for travel and adventure; perhaps the most notable examples are a recent shark diving expedition in Florida and a trip to Cooperstown, NY where his baseball team competed in in an elite tournament and had the opportunity to tour the Baseball Hall of Fame. Logan is survived by his loving parents, Ron and Tiffany Chacon of Greeley; paternal grandmother, Virginia Chacon of Greeley; maternal grandparents, Tanya and Joe Fierro of Lamar; and numerous adoring aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Logan was preceded in eternal life by his paternal grandfather, Richard Chacon, and maternal Great Grandmother, Denzil Hall. The Chacon-Fierro family would like to thank those who have offered their time, prayers, and condolences. While the grief of losing an integral part of a close-knit family is incomprehensible, the family takes solace in these selfless demonstrations of love and is humbled by the depth and breadth with which Logan was loved in his short time on Earth. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Adamson Life Celebration Home from 5:00-8:00 pm. The celebration of Logan’s life will take place on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 commencing with a Rosary at 10:30am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, all of which will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church,2222 23rd Avenue, Greeley. Interment will be in Mizpah Cemetery in Platteville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the "Chacon Memorial Scholarship" in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
