Marian J. Pearson, age 83, of North Fort Myers, passed away April 27, 2017 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. She was born Feb. 24, 1934 in Gorham, NY, to the late Clarence Julian DePew and the late Bertha May (Bergman) DePew. Marian was a member of the Saint Michael Lutheran Church in Fort Myers. Before moving to Florida, Marian worked for The Shopping News for 22 years, during that time she consistently drove more miles, worked more hours and assisted more customers than any other salesperson on staff. She is survived by her daughter: Darleena J. Ball (Charles) of Fort Edward, NY, stepson: James R. Pearson, Jr., grandchildren: Charles Ball, III, Robert Ball, Channah Hanberg, Naomi Whitcomb, Rita VanDorn, Kimberly Wheat, Alyssa Pearson, thirteen great grandchildren and numerous other family members. She was also a mother and grandmother to many others. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Pearson, Sr., daughter; Gloria Bounds, brothers, Leland and Roger Eugene DePew and sister-in-law, Rita DePew. Cremation arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - Fort Myers.
