Mary Elizabeth Cuellar, 82 was called home October 2, 2018 at 11:11 pm, she passed peacefully with many loved ones at her side in Lakewood, Colorado. The doctor confirmed her passing on October 3, 2018. Her funeral services will be held Friday, October 12 th at Romero's Funeral Home, located at 1805 S Sheridan, Lakewood, Colorado, viewing will be 12-1, services will be 1-2, dismissal will be from 2-3, followed by a reception at American Legion Hall, located at 5110 Morrison Road, Denver, Colorado, from 3-7. Mary Elizabeth Cuellar was born on October 10, 1935, in La Junta, Colorado to Margaret and Jake Apodaca. She married David Cuellar. They had two sons who passed away at birth and were blessed with a daughter, Debra Jean Cuellar. David and Mary later separated but never divorced, they always loved each other. Mary had 7 other children, whom she raised by herself. Mary enjoyed working with children and the elderly. She worked and volunteered at nursing homes or daycare centers in the nutrition services arena. She was always opening up her home for others to eat and converse. Mary's kitchen was never empty and always full of love, joy and wonderful food. She loved hosting company and always wanted to have plenty of food, soda, juice and water to share. Mary never knew a stranger. Mary is survived by her Children, Debra Rodriguez (Julian), Anthony Cuellar, Margaret Garnica Ocana (Fabian), Robert Garnica (Beth), Jeffrey Garnica, Elaine Cuellar Gallegos, Jerome Cuellar. Grandchildren, Juliana Rodriguez Landin, Julian Rodriguez, Justine Rodriguez (Monique), Jolene Chavez (Victor), Robert Garnica (Sadie), Matthew Garnica, Michelle Garnica, Brittany Gonzales, Jerry Gonzales (Felicia), Jesse Gonzales (Kayelee), Alanina Cuellar, Anthony Cuellar, Selena Velencia (Freddy), Samantha Cuellar, Avionna Cuellar, Nadia Walker, David Herrera, Marlena Herrera, Julia Herrera, Jeremiah Maes Herrera, Angel Apodaca. Great-grand Children, Alyssia (Robert), Jessika, and Katlyn Landin, Roman Rodriguez, Marciano Melendez Chavez, Dayton, Amelianah, and Laelani Chavez, Isabel, Carlos, and Gabriela Medina, Dominic, Josiah, Destiny, J'la, and Jeremiah Gonzales, Manny and Neveah Vigil, Ezahkyus Lee Charles Cuellar, Meniah, Jeremiah, Natalie, Matthew Jr., Davoncio, and Alexia Garnica, Triniti, Larissah, and Antonio Hernandez, Elaria Dominique Walker, Julian Rubio Herrera, David Herrera, Jr. and Siblings, Leroy, Lucy and Rose Apodaca. Mary is proceeded in death by her parents, Jake and Margaret Apodaca, brothers Henry (Amy), Thomas, Jerry and Anthony Apodaca, sister, Mary Apodaca, her late husband David Cuellar, and daughter Rosemary Apodaca.
