Randall Joe Lane, age 61 of Kingsport, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. Randall was born on November 8, 1960 in Kingsport, TN to Beecher and Marlene Lane. Randall worked as a tree trimmer and he enjoyed working outdoors. Randall enjoyed fishing, 70’s classic music, and NASCAR. He also enjoyed rebuilding old muscle cars: his latest restoration was a 1966 Ford Galaxy. Randall loved his family and he cherished his friends. Randall was preceded in death by his nephew, Brad Smith. He is survived by his son, Thomas Massengill (Ashley Johnson); parents, Beecher and Marlene Lane; sisters, Mechelle Clonce (Brian), Karen Smith (Randy), and Darlene Williams (Joe); brother, Denny Lane Sr. (Lisa); grandchildren, Mickayla Massengill, Gavin Massengill, Novalee Massengill, Melrose Massengill, and Caleb Sexton; nieces and nephews, Sarah, Denny, Mackenzie, and Kevin; and a host of loving family members and friends. There will be a private family memorial service scheduled at a later date. Carter Trent Funeral Home Kingsport is serving the Lane family.
