Roy Earl Burkett
October 4th, 1931 - February 23rd, 2015
Roy Earl Burkett, age 83, of North Fort Myers, passed away February 23, 2015 at his home in North Fort Myers. Roy was born on Oct. 4, 1931 in West Green, GA, the son of the late Jesse Oliver and Ida Mae (Lawson) Burkett. He married Louise Hudson in Hollywood, FL, May 2, 1964. Roy enjoyed everything outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. His most infamous accomplishment was building all of his airboats. Roy is survived by his wife, 6 daughters, 3 sons, 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, brothers: Joby & Bobby and his squirrel Chico. Roy will clearly be missed by all of us. A celebration of his life will be held on April 4, 2015 at his home at 18601 Palm Creek Drive, North Fort Myers, FL 33917. All flowers and gifts may be sent to his home.
