Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel
Thomas Oliver Lovelace
October 5th, 1970 - April 3rd, 2018
It is with tremendous sadness we announce the passing of Thomas Lovelace, a beloved father, spouse, and man. Funeral services celebrating his life will be 2:00PM Saturday April 14, 2018 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services chapel with Rev. Cecil Pickler officiating. Thomas lost a long fought battle with addiction, a disease that touches us all yet is often only addressed in sighs, whispers, or in our most private and quiet moments. Thomas loved his family deeply and enjoyed being a husband and father despite being tormented by his disease. He was passionate about so many things: his work, NASCAR, his friendships, his dreams. Thomas was preceded in death by his 16 year old daughter, Cassady , and is survived by his wife, Jennifer, step-daughter Kelsey, and son, Cameron. Thomas’s family is deeply mourning the loss of the man behind the addiction. They respectfully request their friends and family members join them in grieving the loss of Thomas’s potential in addition to appreciating the devastation felt by his children and wife. Addiction is merciless and it is not with shame we express our sadness but with pleas for each of us to engage in acts of understanding versus judgement, education versus indictment, support versus abandonment. The family will visit with friends beginning at 1:00PM prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
