Kevin C. Gentry

Kevin C. Gentry, 40, died on April 20, 2026 after a long illness.

Kevin led a fully inclusive and fulfilling life. He graduated from Nottingham High School and volunteered for Meals on Wheels, St. Lucy’s Food Pantry, and Advocates. He was an avid bowler and golfer and excelled at Special Olympics competitions. His beautiful blue eyes expressed more than most people’s words. He brought joy to everyone around him with his infectious laugh and dazzling smile. He loved the magic of Disney.

Kevin is survived by his mother Carol Gentry of Syracuse, his father John (Kathy Ray) Gentry of Liverpool, his grandmothers, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Upstate University Hospital who cared for Kevin throughout his illness.

In lieu of a service, an open house to celebrate our shared love of Kevin will take place on Sunday May 17 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Vito’s Ristorante in East Syracuse.
