William B. Sherman, 39, of Syracuse, New York, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2026, in the comfort of his home.
Born on September 16, 1986, in Syracuse, New York, he was the beloved son of Sylvia Ricks and William B. Sherman Sr.
William B. Sherman graduated from Corcoran High School and formed many lifelong friendships throughout his journey in life. Beyond his professional life, William was known for his love of music and his creative spirit. With a deep passion for rap music, he touched the lives of many through his vibrant personality and his remarkable ability to make others laugh.
William is survived by his special guardian, Ruby Turner of Syracuse, New York; his sisters, Georganna Williams of Rochester, New York, and Rashida Alexander, Jamila Kafi Sherman, Mariah Sherman, and Diamonique Sherman, all of Syracuse, New York; and his brothers, Michael (Tyniesha) Ricks, Danyeal Porter, Mikel Alexander, Abraham Sherman, and Daquan Turner, all of Syracuse, New York, as well as Robert Darby of Vermont and Tyrone Darby of Tully, New York. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was predeceased by his mother, Sylvia Ricks; his father, William B. Sherman Sr.; and his brother, Clarence Lucas Alexander “Happy.” William B. Sherman will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Home.
