Anthony F. Peterworth Jr.
May 23, 1963 — April 23, 2026
Anthony F. Peterworth, Jr. (Tony), 62, passed away at his home in St. Petersburg, FL, on April 23, 2026. Born in Louisville, KY on May 23, 1963, to the late JoAnne and Anthony Peterworth, Sr., Tony moved to the sunshine state in August of 1996.
Tony was the consumate ‘glue guy’ for our family and as the oldest of four boys, he was typically the first to try new things such as driving a car, getting a part-time job, choosing where to go to high school (proud graduate of St. Xavier High School in 1981), getting an apartment, etc.; all of these paved the way for the rest of us. He was always up for a good time and often brought the fun and the silliness himself – the life of the party. From the numerous family trips to his house to spending days relaxing at his pool to nights out at the best eateries and destinations unknown, Tony was always excited to be with his family. Some of Tony’s interests were exotic/fast cars, his house/pool oasis, his manicured lawn, entertaining friends and family, and of course a love of flying the friendly skies. At the time of his death, he was actually preparing for a trip to Europe with several of his close friends, including Patty/Jim Yoachim whom he cherished like his own family. One of Tony’s bucket list items was to visit the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, France and to visit the Colisseum and the Vatican in Italy. But fate intervened!
Tony was blessed with many friends from koozie group (formerly Bic Graphic) where he instantly began making an impact on his first day - May 12, 1997. Nearly thirty years later, we would learn firsthand of the many contributions Tony brought to that team while on a tour of the facilities. Tony loved his work for sure, but he loved the people more, and it showed.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents Anthony F. Peterworth, Sr. and JoAnne Peterworth, and his brother Michael L. Peterworth. He is survived by his brothers, Joseph (Angie), David (Charity), a sister-in-law Christy, as well as many nieces and nephews including Megan Peterworth, Casey Peterworth, Taylor (Hayden) Bailey, Grace (Mitchell) Peterworth, Logan (Rylee) Peterworth, Trevor Peterworth, and Evan (Kayleigh) Peterworth. He will also be deeply missed by his Florida family and friends including Patty and Jim Yoachim, Jared and Ashley Morgan, Mitch and Megan Lusignan, Vanessa (with an ‘R’), Frank Fojtik, Diedre, Kel and Angie, Stephanie Quick, David and Dana and Big Dave, and a host of friends from koozie group including Nathali Garcia, Matt Omans and Keith Folsom and many more.
