Betty J. Weaver

Betty Weaver, 94, of Seminole, FL formerly of Loganville, GA, passed away August 24, 2026. Survived by son Jeff (Karen); daughter Teresa (Richard); grandsons Patrick and Ryan; sister Mary Cobb; 2 nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Ovell McLarty, and her husband, Rev. James Weaver. 

Betty was born and grew up in Cedartown, GA. She married James in 1951. They lived most of their life in and around the greater Atlanta area. She worked for Sears for over 30 years. She and James spent many years working in numerous Assembly of God churches in Georgia, culminating with their involvement in the "Prime Timers" senior group in their last church.

Betty was a feisty Scotch-Irish woman who was always steadfast in her faith. She loved to travel, and thanks to James working for Delta Air Lines, they took many trips with family, including visiting their son when Jeff was stationed in Korea with the US Army. 

Betty loved her family and close friends with all her heart, especially her grandsons "My Boys". She has a dry sense of humor which became even sharper as she aged.
