Charlotte V Davidson

Charlotte Davidson, 90, died peacefully and went home to be with Jesus and her beloved husband, Ramon, on September 14th in Largo, Florida. Charlotte is survived by her brother, Lawrence of Merritt Island; a daughter, Dianne Thompson and her family that includes Steven and their children, Jessi and Bryan in Largo; sons, Ramon (Perry) Davidson and his family that includes Haydee in Lutz, as well as their children Stephanie and Alex, and John Davidson and his family that includes Yvette and their children, Samantha and Michael in Tampa. She helped to raise many of her grandchildren, 8 in total, including Kelli Podracky in Orlando with her family that includes Jim and their children Olivia, Ava, Eli, and Isabel. All together, Charlotte had 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, as well as many others that just considered her "Ma" or "Mama".
Charlotte was born on June 9th, 1925 in Roanoke, Virginia to Edgar and Gertrude Price. She married the love of her life, Ramon Davidson, in September of 1948. They moved to Baltimore, MD and were blessed to have 3 children born and raised there. In 1974, they relocated to Tampa, Florida for Ramon's career. She moved to Oak Manor in Largo to be near Dianne in 2012.
Charlotte Davidson was a devoted wife and a dedicated mother and grandmother who loved her family without measure. She was raised Baptist and attended Livingston Baptist Church in Tampa. Charlotte was also an active volunteer in all of her children and grandchildren's schools including Johnny Cake Elementary in Baltimore and Miles Elementary in Tampa.
A celebration in Charlotte's honor is scheduled for Tuesday, September 22nd at A Life Tribute in Largo, Florida. The viewing will be at 9am, with the service immediately following at 10am. Rev. Dr. Scott Fortenberry of 5th Avenue Baptist will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Charlotte's life. Charlotte will have a committal service for immediate family at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida joining Ramon who was laid to rest there in 1996. The family would like to thank Oak Manor of Largo for the care they gave Charlotte during her time there, as well as for the kindness and generosity shown to Charlotte's family.
