Frank C Contey

Frank C. Contey, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away at home on October 22, 2025 in St. Petersburg, FL at the age of 90.

Frank is predeceased by his first wife Althea (DenBleyker) Contey in 2018 and second wife of 43 years Marilyn (Postman) Contey in 2015.  He was also predeceased by a brother, sister, & niece.

Frank was born in April, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph & Claire (Jordan) Contey.  A U.S. Air Force veteran, he served his country in Korea from 1952-1956.  In 1972 he relocated to St. Petersburg, FL where he had a successful career as a salesman, most notably for Sears & Roebuck, and JC Penney.  Frank also enjoyed playing cards and billiards with friends, cruising, and an occasional trip to Las Vegas.

Frank is survived by three children, Keith Contey, St. Petersburg, FL.; Debbie (Contey) Roberts & her fiancé Michael, Oak Ridge, NJ; Mark (Patricia) Contey, Mokena, IL; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A memorial service honoring Frank will be held at the VA Bay Pines in St. Petersburg, FL with family and friends at a later date.
