Gilbert Noel Mesnil

Gilbert Noel Mesnil, 71, of Palm Harbor, FL passed away peacefully at home on July 25, 2026. He was born on December 23, 1954 in Tripoli, Lebanon.

He enjoyed floating in the pool and splashing around in the breakwater. An island guy at heart, his favorite places were the beach or floating on a cruise ship with his partner in crime and beloved wife Diana. Gil was always the life of the party and the family’s biggest goofball. His infectious energy brought happiness to so many of us, including his children and grand children who loved spending time with their Dad and Poppi.

Gilbert is survived by the family he loved the most: his wife, Diana Mesnil of Palm Harbor, FL; his children - Jeanine Heath (David) of Trinity, FL , Nina Mesnil of Connecticut, Briana DiMauro (Alex) of Vernon, CT, Nikolas Mesnil of Palm Harbor, FL, Eddie Mesnil of Palm Harbor, FL, Chanelle Mesnil of Cromwell, CT. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jude and Jayden; siblings, many nieces and nephews, favorite cousins and in-laws.

Gil Mesnil dedicated 40 years of his life to supporting and advocating for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through his work at MARC, Inc. of Manchester. Known for his kindness, compassion, and genuine heart, Gil touched countless lives with his unwavering commitment to helping others. His legacy of service, friendship, and advocacy will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
