Janice M. Slowiak

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Janice Slowiak. Janice left us on September 14, 2026, in Palm Harbour, Florida, leaving a void that can never be filled.

In addition to her parents Glenn and Joan Krueger, Janice is preceded in death by her sister Laura Lentz. She is survived by her brothers Kurt (Tammy), Brad, Paul (Cheryl) and sister Linda Moore.

She also leaves behind 7 nieces and nephews, Stuart (Samantha) Moore, Ryan Moore, Morgen Moore, Kyle Krueger, Cortney Krueger, Brandon (Meghan) Lentz and Brett Lentz along with 2 great-nephews Wallace and Maddox Moore.

After graduating from Northern Illinois University with a degree in horticulture, Janice started her own business in landscape design. She later went on to manage the Japanese Garden in Geneva, IL where she was known for her work ethic, kindness and commitment to others.

Janice loved to frequent flea markets, thrift shops and antique stores, collecting meaningful pieces over the years that she proudly displayed throughout her home.

She loved shopping for clothes for which she had such an impeccable sense of style along with her extraordinary talent for both interior and exterior design.

Janice also adored all animals, she had such a compassionate heart, taking in strays and she loved feeding and watching the birds.

We miss you deeply, but you will always be remembered! Ok Babe, talk to you later.
