Laura L. Hughes

Laura L Hughes, 62 of Clearwater passed away on June 2nd, 2026 at Morton Plant Hospital after losing her battle with cancer.

Laura was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on June 5th, 1963 to Lois and Sherman Wilkinson. She moved to Largo Florida with her family when she was a child. Laura was a graduate of Largo High School and further education at St Pete Jr college. She worked as a medical receptionist for more than 15 years after raising her two children with her husband in Clearwater, Florida.

Laura enjoyed crossword puzzles, sudoku, game shows and playing board games with her husband and children. Laura always wanted to travel more, but financial issues limited this dream. Laura leaves behind Husband of 35 years Phillip, Son Samuel, Daughter Drew, and grandchildren Kiera, Ellie and Maddox who will all miss her more than can be conveyed in words.
