Maria Leticia Perez Bailon

Apr 15, 1964 — Sep 4, 2026

Maria Leticia “Letty” Perez Bailon, 62, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away on September 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on April 15, 1964, Letty was the beloved daughter of the late Pedro Esteban Perez Perez and Rosario “Charo” Bailon Medina.

Letty devoted 37 years of her life to nursing, a profession that was much more than a career to her—it was truly part of who she was. She was an exceptional and compassionate nurse who loved caring for others and took great pride in her work. Throughout her career, she touched countless lives, not only through the patients she cared for, but also through the nurses she guided, supported, and mentored along the way. Nursing was one of her greatest passions, and the impact she made will continue through all those who had the privilege of working beside her.

Outside of nursing, Letty found her greatest happiness in her family. She loved spending time with the people she loved, making memories, laughing, and simply being together.

She was also a true dancing queen. Put on some ’80s music and Letty was ready to dance. She had a joyful spirit and knew how to have fun, whether she was dancing to her favorite songs or heading out on one of her beloved shopping trips to Marshalls or TJ Maxx. Those ordinary moments became some of the most treasured memories for the people who loved her.

Letty leaves behind her children, Rocio Restrepo, Alberto Gonzalez, and Alejandra Gonzalez, and her beloved grandson, Nico Restrepo, who brought tremendous joy to her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Esteban Perez Perez and Rosario “Charo” Bailon Medina.

Letty will be remembered as an extraordinary mother, grandmother, daughter, friend, nurse, mentor, and woman. She gave so much of herself to others throughout her life, both personally and professionally. Her strength, compassion, laughter, love of music, and devotion to her family will live on in everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

She deserved more time, but the love she gave during the time she had will remain with us forever.

Her family will carry her with them in every song that makes them want to dance, every spontaneous shopping trip, every moment of laughter, and every act of kindness and care.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten.
