Maria M. Plesz

Maria Plesz, 63, of Stratford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on September 10, 2026. Maria was born March 31, 1963, in Três Marias, MG, in Brazil. Her faith in God was an important part of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, traveling and making memories with those she loved. She treasured her family and the time they shared together.

Maria is survived by husband Mark Melycher of Bethel, Connecticut; her daughter, Tatiane Macedo of Largo, Florida, and her husband, Marcelo Macedo; her four grandchildren, Alice, Luisa, Noah, and David; her son, Johnathan Goulart of Beacon Falls, Connecticut, and his wife, Brianna O'Grady; and her son, Bryan Goulart of Shelton, Connecticut, and his wife, Leigh Goulart.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the local hospice team for their compassionate care during her final days at home.
