Aaron Lee Chipley

September 21, 1948 – December 7, 2025 

Aaron was born September 21, 1948, to Charles and Susan Chipley. After a brief illness, Aaron ended his earthly journey and entered the presence of the Lord on December 7, 2025. 

At a young age, Aaron’s family relocated to the Redding area. He spent his formative years in Lake Shasta City and graduated from Central Valley High School. After high school, he joined the Army and proudly served our country for 3 ½ years before enrolling at Sacramento State University and earning a BA degree. 

It was in his senior year of high school that Aaron met his life partner and friend, Karen Chamberlin Chipley. They were married on October 23, 1967, and recently celebrated 58 years of marriage. From their marriage, Aaron was blessed with two wonderful sons, Justin and Ryan. Aaron passionately loved his boys and passed onto them his love for baseball, coaching many of their teams. To Justin, Aaron passed on his interest in golf, although Justin became much more accomplished. To Ryan, Aaron passed on his love of fishing, and again, Ryan has become much more passionate and accomplished. In Aaron’s spare time, you would find him writing, which culminated in the publishing of a children’s book called “A Little Star Named Theodore”. He also developed a great interest in creating mosaic pictures comprised of stones and shells and always loved to meticulously manicure the yard! 

Aaron attended Bible Study Fellowship for many years and could frequently be found at church helping with a wide range of projects. 

In May 2025, Aaron and Karen moved to Star, Idaho to be near Ryan and his wife Michelle. Through Ryan, Aaron became actively involved in the organization “Idaho 2 Fly”. The organization provides support for men dealing with cancer which is a cause that is deeply personal to Aaron and his family. 

Aaron is survived by his wife Karen Chipley, son Ryan Chipley (Michelle), granddaughters Payton Chipley and Maggie Chipley, brother Chuck Chipley (Patty) and sister Karon Brobst (Bill). He was preceded in death by his son Justin Chipley who leaves his wife Natalee Chipley. 

Aaron cherished his many friends and acquaintances during his 77 years of life, and nobody was a stranger to him! 

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 11, 2026 (11am) at the Neighborhood Church of Anderson 4684 Rhonda Road, Anderson, CA. A lunch will be served after the service (salads and/or desserts are welcomed).
