Charma Trudi Marquardt

Charma Trudi Marquardt, 70, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, in Boise, Idaho. Born on May 26, 1956, in Heppner, Oregon, Charma lived a life devoted to her God, family, friends and community.

A proud graduate of Heppner High School, Charma pursued higher education at Blue Mountain Community College and Northwestern College of Business. Her professional journey was defined by dedication and service. From 1978 to 2001, she worked for the Portland Police Bureau in various capacities, including roles with the Bureau of Emergency Communications (911) and as a police officer. Later in her career, she brought her talents to CAPECO from 2005 to 2007.

Charma’s adventurous spirit led her to explore the world’s beauty. She cherished her travels to Hawaii, the Caribbean, and Ireland—creating lasting memories that reflected her love for discovery. A committed member of her church community, Charma found joy in attending services and participating in women’s Bible studies. Her sharp wit and dry sense of humor endeared her to many and left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by brother, Rick Marquardt (Charity), sister, Billee June Owen (Ira), brother, Philip Marquardt (Beth), brother, Bruce Marquardt (Deliah and their children), nephews Bryan Marquardt (Tracy), Lance Marquardt (Jamie), Eric Marquardt (Rhonda), Gabriel Owen (Karen), Lucas Marquardt (Erin), Marcus Marquardt (Rylia), Billy Clifford Marquardt, and Jared Marquardt and niece, Celeste Tate (Paul), and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Charma was predeceased by her parents Bill and Rena Marquardt; sisters Norita and Penny Marquardt, and brother Douglas Marquardt.

Charma’s memory will be forever cherished by those who knew her. Her legacy of humor, faith, and kindness will continue to inspire all who shared in her journey.

A Funeral Service will be held on September 5, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM at Pendleton Faith Center located at 108 S Main Street. Following the service, a Celebration of Life will take place from 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Pendleton Center for the Arts at 214 N Main Street. Guests are invited to enjoy pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, cookies, coffee, and bottled water; side dishes or desserts are welcome contributions.
