Mona Walker

     Mona Walker, mother of five, slipped away peacefully in her sleep on June 29, 2026, in Eagle, Idaho, at the age of 91. She would like it noted for the record that she narrowly missed turning 100 by only nine years.

      Looking back, she successfully raised five children, which could have been described as a long-running group project with no clear instructions. She spent many years teaching at Primary Plus Preschool in California, where she became fluent in the universal languages of snack negotiations (just one more), nap-time diplomacy (I am not tired), and mysterious sticky substances (what is that).

     Mona’s chaotic, wonderfully, imperfect life gave her plenty of reasons to laugh, and she hopes she left a few smiles behind wherever she went. If you remember her, don't just remember the work or the wrinkles—remember the stories, the hugs, the laughter, and maybe a little harmless mischief along the way, as those we remember are never truly gone.
