William "Bill" Harrison Marrs
Apr 13, 1942 — Oct 18, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William “Bill” H. Marrs, of Kuna, on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
Bill was born April 13, 1942, in Hays, Kansas to Clarance and Catherine Marrs. He served his country as an Aerographer’s Mate in the United States Navy. Due to his eyesight, he was unable to become a pilot for the military, but he eventually obtained his private pilot license later in life. He went on to earn his Master of Science in Engineering, working for Texas Instruments and Vought Aircraft Industries. After moving to Idaho, he worked for the Idaho State Tax Commission as a railroad appraiser.
Bill had a passion for mechanical work – anything related to planes, trains, and automobiles. Whether he was fixing up his WWII Willys Jeep or just repairing the daily-driver vehicles, he could always be found tinkering on something.
He was a lover of and beloved by animals. Whether indoors or working outside, he could be found with a dog, cat, or chicken following him. Learning didn’t end with school for him; reading all literary genres to expand his mind to other worlds and perspectives.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his son, Frank William Marrs.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Marrs; two daughters, Heather (Robert) Walker and Nichole (Gavin) Marrs; and one granddaughter, Aurora. His pride and joy was his immediate and extended family.
A service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 2, 2026, at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery - Boise.
