Brian Ray Macias Sr
Sep 9, 1974 — Sep 24, 2026
Brian Ray Macias Sr. passed away on September 24, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 52, surrounded by the love of the family he built his life around.
Brian was, above all else, a father. He never missed a field trip, a game, or a performance, and there was never a day he didn't tell his sons he loved them. He met each of his children exactly where they were and showed genuine, unconditional love for everything they loved, a love that extended naturally to the friends and partners they brought into his life.
Brian grew up in Tucson, where he dated his high school sweetheart, Robin, whom he proudly called homecoming queen and prom queen. He carried that memory, and his pride in her, for the rest of his life. He was fiercely loyal to the people he loved, the kind of loyalty that came as naturally to him as breathing, and he was known by friends and family alike as someone who would always be the first to stand beside you.
After the passing of Bernadette, mother of his sons, in 2012, Brian made it his mission to keep his boys close to her side of the family, a connection he never let break.
He is survived by his three sons, Daniel Estrada, Brian Macias Jr., and Devin Macias; his grandchildren, Castiel and Azaziah Macias; his mother, Judy Macias; his brother, Steve Macias; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Erlinda and Mike Martin; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rene and Mary-Anne Duarte; along with many other loving family members and friends.
Brian will be remembered as a gentle giant: immensely loving, overwhelmingly supportive, and as generous as he was wise. He built fires for his sons and their friends to gather around long into the night, and he made every person who came into his life feel like part of his family.
