Charles Frederick Holland

Charles “Chuck” Holland, 58, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 6/2/26. Born and raised in Tucson, AZ, he spent nearly his entire life in the desert. Chuck was the beloved son of Vicki Hart, and the late Charles Holland, Sr., and a devoted father, brother, and uncle whose loyalty to his family never wavered.

Chuck was a man of the outdoors, fishing pole in hand, a campfire crackling nearby, or the quiet stillness of the morning. He loved his guns, his trucks, the freedom of wide‑open spaces, the Steelers football team, and had a love for history. More than anything, he loved his children, standing by them through every high and low, always with a steady presence and a stubborn kind of love that never broke.

He is survived by his children, Daniel Holland, Charleen Holland, Jedidiah Holland, and Tristan Holland who will forever carry his strength and humor in their hearts; as well as his five grandchildren; his sisters Violet Suetkamp and Jane Green; his brother Robert Hart; and his best friend since elementary school, Earl Matney, who grew up with him and remained close over the years.

He is preceded in death by his sister April Johnson, whose memory he cherished, and by his late wife Gail Holland, with whom he is now reunited with.

A memorial service will be held on July 4th at his mother’s home, where family and friends will gather to honor his life, share stories, and the man he was. Anyone wishing to attend may reach out to his daughter for details.
