Barbara Kay Pollock
Jul 2, 1945 — Jul 5, 2026
Barbara Kay Pollock (Bell), 81, passed away on July 5, 2026, at her home in Briggsdale, Colorado, surrounded by her loving family.
Barbara was born on July 2, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Patrick Henry Bell Sr. and Hazel Bell (Armstrong). The fourth of five children, she grew up in the Skedee, Oklahoma, area, where ranching and farming were part of daily life. After graduating from Pawnee High School in 1963, she attended airline training school and was hired by Continental Airlines, where she worked for 40 years.
Barbara married Stanley R. Pollock on August 23, 1969, and together they built their life in Colorado. They shared a love for God’s creation and the outdoors, enjoying boating, fishing, snowmobiling, and traveling.
Soon after Stan was saved, they became active in their church’s bus ministry in Colorado Springs, where they formed lasting friendships with many connected to the church and nearby military base. Many of those relationships continued for more than 30 years. Barbara always had a heart for children’s ministry, faithfully serving in the nursery, children’s ministries, and Awana program long before she became a mother and continuing even after she became a grandmother.
At age 40, Barbara and Stanley’s prayers were answered with the birth of their daughter, Kaylee Mei. Their home was always open to friends, many of whom stayed over the years and became like family. Barbara deeply cherished her family, especially her siblings, and for the past 20 years she treasured reconnecting with loved ones at their annual cousins’ reunions.
Barbara will be remembered for her gracious hospitality, her deep love for the Lord, and her generous servant’s heart. She delighted in baking carrot cake and banana bread, sharing meals with friends, and passing down cherished recipes. She was also passionate about staying healthy and active, finding joy in tending her garden and flowers and especially playing with her grandsons.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Stanley Ray Pollock; her daughter, Kaylee Peterman, and son-in-law, Zach; her grandchildren, Barrett, Brayden, and Brody Peterman; and her four siblings, Donna, Roberta, Lloyd, and Patrick H. Bell Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Patrick H. Bell Sr.
Barbara’s Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church of Eaton, Colorado 80611.
