Concepcion Valdez Melendez, 84 years old, passed away on March 10, 2026, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Concepcion lived a long and meaningful life devoted to faith, family, and kindness.

She was known for her warm heart, gentle wisdom, and the way she made everyone feel welcomed and loved. Whether gathered around the table for family meals, sharing stories from years past, or offering quiet encouragement, she created a home filled with love and laughter.

Her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and friends. The memories she created with those she loved will be cherished forever.

Concepcion is survived by her children, Rosalio Melendez, Iliaser Melendez, Leticia Mireles, Silvia Martinez, Fernando Melendez, Manuel Melendez and Anthony Mireles; her brother, Amando Valdez; sisters, Dolores Olivas & Eva Urias, all who will carry forward her legacy of faith, strength, and love. She was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.

Concepcion was proceeded by her husband Fernando Melendez, and her son Miguel Melendez.

A Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Adamson Life Celebration Home on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 16, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1000 Country Acres Dr, Johnstown, CO  80534. With a burial to follow at the Johnstown Cemetery, 23101 Colorado Blvd, Johnstown, CO  80534. The family will be holding a reception after the burial at Grace Community Church, 2033 W. South 1st Street, Johnstown, CO 80534. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and remember a life that touched so many.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace and reunited in heaven with her loving Savior. Her love will continue to guide us, and her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
