Gabriel Villegas

Gabriel Villegas, 41 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026. He was born on August 28th, 1984 in Greeley, CO to the late Lydia Villegas-Rubio and the late Juan Cepeda.

Gabriel was a great mechanic and enjoyed working on cars, the dust and hard work could never scare him away. He was quick to teach himself new things and was a jack of all trades. In his life, he always looked forward to being outdoors, grilling, fishing, and cooking his delicious green chili chicken posole for all those he loved. Gabriel valued time with his daughter and anything family oriented. To him, family was worth every second of his day. Through jokes and pranks, he never failed to put a smile on someone’s face, whether it was his nieces and nephews, a co-worker, or a stranger. He was a people person,and always found a way to turn someone’s day around.

Gabriel loved being a dad and leaves his daughter, Lydiann Villegas, the apple of his eye, to cherish his memory every day. His sisters Ambra (Eric) G., Betty Jo B., and Sophia V. (we will love and miss you forever brother) hold him in their hearts. His grandmother, Ruth (Villegas)Torres and her husband Sam. Along with many loved and adored nieces and nephews followed by his large extended family will remember him for his loving spirit and humorous nature.

He is preceded in death by both parents, his grandfather Ismael “Mel” Villegas, his cousin, Isaac Villegas, and niece Brooke Beach Those he left behind will forever miss him!

Service will take place on Wednesday Aug. 26, 2026 at 10 am at the Trinity Spanish Assembly of God 601 21st Avenue Greeley, CO 80631

with food to follow immediately after service.

Interment at Eaton Cemetery.
